Keep Mobile is a voluntary organisation which was established in 1992 and is registered with the Charity Commission Number 1174433. Our mission is to help those in the Wokingham and Bracknell Forest Borough Council areas unable to use mainstream transport to reach their destination due to disability and/or age, wherever that may be, and to have as much of an independent life as possible with regard to transport.

Through a combination of fund-raising and grants we operate a fleet of vehicles capable of transporting those in wheelchairs or who have difficulty in negotiating steps found on other forms of public transport.

Our drivers are trained to national standards for this work and we have our own MiDAS Driver Assessor/Trainers through the Community Transport Association’s Minibus Driver’s Awareness Scheme. Together with our high standards of vehicle maintenance we are able to offer a safe and reliable form of transport for our members.

All our services are door to door - passengers do not have to make their way to a central pick up point or wait outside in inclement weather.

More than 7000 people have now used our service. Each year we undertake over 20,000 passenger trips covering some 200,000 km.
